Product News: Do Not Sell Link Option & Per-Region Disclosure Controls
A more flexible consent banner and privacy center: present Do Not Sell as an inline link, exclude specific disclosures per region, and tune the copy shown wherever content is blocked.

Compliance is rarely one-size-fits-all. Concord's banner presents the Do Not Sell right as a labeled toggle a visitor can flip in place, and some teams may prefer to present it as a link to a toggle instead. A disclosure that belongs in one region may be noise in another. And blocked marketing content shouldn't leave a blank space on the page. This release adds a set of controls that give you finer command over exactly what each visitor sees, region by region, while keeping the guardrails that make those experiences compliant by default.
Do Not Sell as an Inline Link
Concord's consent banner gives visitors a Do Not Sell/Share toggle. Now you can hide that switch and present Do Not Sell as an inline link in your banner copy instead.
Turn off the Do Not Sell switch and insert the Do Not Sell Link token where you want it in the sentence. It renders inline, exactly where you place it, and opens the Privacy Center to the visitor's Do Not Sell preferences. You can set custom link text per banner and per language, so the wording matches your voice and the regulation you're addressing.
Use whichever reads better on your site. The token sits alongside the other Policy Link tokens already available in banner text, and it's rolled out across every supported language.
A couple of built-in safeguards keep the setup sound: the link only renders in privacy modes where Do Not Sell actually applies, and the banner editor surfaces a non-blocking warning if you hide the toggle without placing the link, so a visitor is never left without a way to exercise the right.
Per-Region Disclosure Controls
Your Privacy Center can display policy disclosures to visitors, but not every disclosure is relevant everywhere. Previously, showing disclosures was all-or-nothing per project.
Now you can exclude specific disclosures per region. Each region has a multi-select list of the policies to leave out of its Privacy Center, so you can show your full set of GDPR disclosures to EU visitors while surfacing a leaner set elsewhere, without maintaining separate configurations.
The behavior is designed to stay out of your way:
- Empty by default. With no exclusions set, every region behaves exactly as it does today.
- New policies auto-include. Add a policy later and it appears in every region except the ones where you've explicitly excluded it.
- Smart toggle. If you exclude every policy, the "Show Disclosures" switch turns itself off; remove one from the exclusion list and it turns back on. You never end up with disclosures enabled but nothing to show, or the reverse.
More Control Over Blocked Content Copy
When Concord blocks an embed or image, it can render a placeholder in that spot rather than leaving it empty, giving the visitor a way to unblock the content. What that placeholder says is yours to tune, scenario by scenario:
- The default prompt and button. The standard "accept this consent category" message and the label on its accept button.
- Do Not Sell copy. When Do Not Sell is what's blocking the element, the placeholder switches to Do Not Sell wording with an "Allow Sale or Sharing" button. Both are editable.
- Fallback copy. When a Do Not Sell prompt wouldn't apply to the element, the placeholder uses your fallback text alongside the standard accept button, so the message always matches the reason the content is blocked.
Every one of these strings is set per language, so a placeholder reads as naturally as the rest of your banner.
Why It Matters
Privacy laws vary by jurisdiction and change constantly. Your consent experience has to keep up without a rebuild every time.
Concord has long set the standard with the most advanced and flexible consent controls in the industry. The form the Do Not Sell right takes, the disclosures a region sees, the copy behind blocked content: yours to set, across regions. Maximum flexibility, defaults that stay compliant.
Built for modern compliance.
